VOLKSWAGEN T3

This project started with a fully restored classic — a Volkswagen T3 Transporter with four-wheel drive (Syncro). The camper was built for our close friends, Tomek and Justyna, who share a passion for surfing and living close to nature.

From the moment this T3 rolled into our workshop, we knew we had to preserve its vintage soul.
The interior build features exotic, ultra-lightweight plywood, finished with premium natural veneer. Despite the compact size, we managed to incorporate a fully functional kitchen complete
with hot water.

The camper sleeps four — on a convertible bed in the main cabin and another in the pop-up roof.Outside, we mounted a canvas awning that complements the retro aesthetic beautifully. We also crafted custom aluminum roof racks for surfboards, added a side ladder, and built a custom front- mounted spare wheel system above the cab, complete with four additional halogen spotlights.

Though this camper is a true classic, it’s fully equipped for modern off-grid travel. All electrical systems are powered by Victron Energy gear, and the 200Ah LiFePO4 battery charges from three independent sources: the alternator while driving, shore power, and a rooftop solar panel.

Shortly after we completed this beautiful old-school build, Tomek and Justyna — along with their loyal travel companion Django the dog — hit the road for a six-week surf trip through
Portugal.
